How Your Money Mindset Is Blocking Business Growth: Pricing, Visibility & Receiving More

What if your next level of business growth isn’t actually a strategy problem?

What if it’s a money mindset problem?

I know. I know. 😂

Sometimes we want a new funnel, a better launch strategy, more followers, a prettier website, a new offer…

Basically, we’ll do ANYTHING except look at what’s happening underneath the surface.

But here’s what I’ve learned after working with so many women entrepreneurs:

Money mindset is foundational to business growth.

And it’s about so much more than what you consciously believe about money.

It shows up in what you charge.

What you tolerate.

What you invest in.

What you avoid.

How visible you’re willing to be.

And, perhaps most importantly, how comfortable you are receiving more.

Your Money Mindset Is Showing Up in Your Pricing

One of the biggest places I see money mindset show up is pricing.

Maybe you know your offer is valuable.

You know you’re getting results.

You know you’re helping people.

And yet…

You still feel uncomfortable raising your price.

You think, Nobody will pay that.

Or, My people can’t afford it.

Or, I need a bigger audience first.

Or maybe you’re thinking, I don’t want to be one of those people who charges so much.

Girl.

Let’s pause right there.

Because when you decide what someone else can or can’t afford, you’re making a story up for them.

People prioritize their money differently.

We all spend money on the things that matter to us.

So when you automatically decide that your dream clients can’t afford your offer, you may actually be projecting your own money beliefs onto them.

Your Big Heart Might Be Keeping You Small

This one is especially important for my heart-centered entrepreneurs.

You care.

Deeply.

You want to help people. You want to make an impact. You don’t want to turn someone away because they can’t afford your offer.

And I LOVE that about you.

But here’s where we have to separate two things:

Your desire to help people ≠ your obligation to undercharge for your business.

You can volunteer.

You can donate.

You can serve your community.

And you can have a profitable business.

Those things don’t have to compete.

Because if your business isn’t profitable, eventually you’re going to burn out.

And then you won’t be able to help anyone.

Your business is not supposed to be an expensive hobby.

Underpricing Creates a Hamster Wheel

Here’s the brutal math of underpricing:

The less you charge, the more sales you need to make the same amount of money.

More clients.

More content.

More launches.

More delivery.

More everything.

And suddenly you’re working nonstop and wondering why your business isn’t giving you the freedom you wanted.

More work does not automatically equal more money.

Sometimes the breakthrough is realizing that your pricing has been making your business model unnecessarily hard.

Your Nervous System Has Opinions, Too

Here’s where it gets really interesting.

Your mind and nervous system tend to seek what feels familiar and safe.

So maybe you’ve made $5K months before.

That feels familiar.

You know how to do that.

But suddenly you’re aiming for a $20K month?

Your brain might be like…

EXCUSE ME?! What is happening?! 😂

It’s not familiar.

And when something isn’t familiar, it can feel unsafe.

That’s why sometimes we have a big financial win…

…and then somehow sabotage it.

We stop marketing.

We pull back from visibility.

We procrastinate.

We create a crisis.

We spend it immediately.

Or we suddenly decide we’re “not ready.”

It’s like a financial boomerang.

We expand.

Then we retreat right back to what feels comfortable.

You Have to Expand Your Capacity to Receive

This isn’t just about making more money.

It’s about holding more money.

And receiving it.

I once worked with a client who had successfully raised her prices, but when it came to investing in herself, she couldn’t bring herself to make the same kind of financial commitment.

She always chose the payment plan—even when she had the money to pay in full.

So we worked through what it would feel like to actually release that money.

And when she finally did it, she felt like she’d unlocked another level of the video game.

Because she had.

She had expanded her capacity to receive by expanding her capacity to release.

That’s the money flow.

Money comes in.

Money goes out.

Money gets invested.

Money gets saved.

Money moves.

And when you cling so tightly to it because you’re afraid you’ll never have enough, that fear can become its own limitation.

Your Next Level Requires You to Hold More

This is the piece I really want you to take with you:

Your next level of success isn’t about never feeling uncomfortable.

It’s about learning that discomfort doesn’t mean you’re unsafe.

Your next level might require:

More visibility.

More responsibility.

More sales.

More rejection.

More money.

More trust in yourself.

More grace.

More belief in yourself.

More gentleness.

And yes… more capacity.

You don’t need to become a completely different person.

You need to keep stretching.

Just like building a muscle, you don’t expand once and call it done.

You practice.

You notice.

You stretch.

You integrate.

And then you do it again.

Celebrate the Wins Along the Way

And please don’t wait until you’ve hit some arbitrary revenue milestone to celebrate yourself.

One of the women in Hey to 100K® recently shared that she’d hit $100K in her business.

That was HUGE.

And I was so proud of her for celebrating it.

But here’s what I want you to remember:

Your win doesn’t have to be $100K.

Your win might be noticing a money pattern you’ve never noticed before.

Your win might be raising your prices.

Your win might be making your first sale.

Your win might be finally talking about your offer publicly.

Your win might simply be realizing that you’ve been making decisions based on an old story.

That awareness is a win.

Because once you can see the pattern, you can change it.

You Are Allowed to Want More

You can be grateful for what you have and still want more.

You can be generous and still be profitable.

You can have a huge heart and charge premium prices.

You can care about accessibility without making yourself financially inaccessible to your own dreams.

And you can make a boatload of money while creating an incredible impact.

Money isn’t a bad thing.

It’s a tool.

And when your business is profitable, you have more capacity to create the life, freedom, impact, and opportunities you actually want.

So ask yourself:

Where is my money mindset showing up in my business right now?

What am I charging?

What am I avoiding?

Where am I hiding?

What am I afraid will happen if I become more successful?

And what would it feel like to make more money your new normal?

Because, my dear…

You are worthy of that next level.

And I’m cheering you on all the way there. ❤️‍🔥
